A huge thank you to everyone who helped and supported our campaign. We were fortunate to have some incredibly dedicated people who believed in what we were hoping to do. 

While we didn't get the result we were hoping for, Wildrose is now the official opposition in the legislature. Until recently, we haven't had an effective opposition in this province. During the next term, we can learn from our experiences and grow as a political party. 

Thank you to each and every one of you who gave your time. 

ELECTION DAY !

Voters face historic change today. Wildrose has laid out a clear, practical and affordable plan for Alberta during this campaign. 

We have pledged to balance the budget immediately without raising taxes or cutting front-line government services, and to begin rebuilding the Heritage fund from budget surpluses.

We pledged to help families with new child tax credits and a ban on school fees.

We pledged to distribute tax-free energy dividends to all Albertans from budget surpluses. We have pledged to improve public health care by guaranteeing timely patient access to necessary medical procedures.

And we pledged to replace the old PC culture of corruption and entitlement with a Wildrose culture of honesty, democracy and accountability.

More than ever, Albertans are ready for a change. But for many conservative-minded voters, there hasn’t been much of an alternative in recent years.

I have a strong vision for Alberta: a province that is more vibrant, a province that is sustainable, a province where access to health care doesn’t mean access to a waiting list and a province that spends our tax dollars wisely.
